..."We approached the gala wondering if we could get
that second place which would take us to the League Final in
September, for our team was weakened by the clash of dates with
the Solihull Schools and Welsh Short Course Championships and
by illness. Despite that or perhaps, because of it, we put up
one of our best performances, taking the lead at event 5 and
holding it till event 38. Everyone, whatever their place gave
100% effort in the 50m pool. So on Sunday 21st September at
Leeds, we take part in our sixth consequetive National League
Final. The other finalists are Millfield, Coventry, Beckenham,
Leeds, Newcastle, Hatfield and Stockport Metro - quite a line
up!"...
